Alpaca World

Alpaca World is a private animal-and-experience theme park in Gangwon, built around large outdoor enclosures of alpacas — the South-American camelid that has become unexpectedly popular as a Korean family-tourism destination over the past decade. Visitors can walk into select enclosures to feed and pet the alpacas under staff supervision, with additional enclosures featuring deer, sheep, ponies, and other gentle herbivorous animals. The park sits on a forested mountain slope that gives the alpaca enclosures a wide-ranging walking environment, and walking trails through the surrounding forest let visitors combine the animal-experience with a forest-walking experience.
