Aqua Planet Jeju

Aqua Planet Jeju is the Jeju branch of Aqua Planet, a Hanwha-affiliated chain of large public aquariums, set up on Jeju's eastern coast at Seongsan in a purpose-built facility positioned as one of Asia's larger aquariums by tank volume. The exhibits combine large-tank zones — featuring sharks, rays, large pelagic fish, and a giant ocean-tank window — with regional themed zones on Jeju's coastal ecosystems, the East Sea, freshwater rivers, and tropical coral environments. Daily programs include scheduled feeding shows, mermaid performances in the main tank, and short marine-biology talks. The location near Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise peak makes it useful as an indoor backup or afternoon stop on an east-Jeju day. Strongest as a planned multi-hour family stop given the size of the facility.
