Why go

Arario Sculpture Plaza is a central-Cheonan public plaza built around the Arario art collection, with around twenty large-scale contemporary sculptures by major international and Korean artists set into a public square outside the Arario Gallery and adjacent shopping mall. Works by Damien Hirst, Keith Haring, Subodh Gupta, and others stand at street level for free public viewing — an unusual arrangement for art of this caliber in Korea. The plaza is fully accessible 24 hours and especially striking at night under directional lighting. Allow forty-five minutes for a slow walk-through. Pair with the Arario Gallery's indoor exhibits and central Cheonan's cafe district for a focused afternoon.
