Suncheonman National Garden is the major Korean national-government-managed botanical garden in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, opened in 2013 and designated as the country's first official National Garden. The garden spans approximately 1.1 million square meters with themed botanical zones representing major world regions and Korean garden traditions — including a Korean traditional garden, a Dutch garden, a Mediterranean garden, a Chinese garden, a Japanese garden, and broader contemporary landscape-design zones. The garden also functions as the Suncheonman ecological-tourism gateway, with a connecting public-transport link to the Suncheonman Wetland Park. Programming includes seasonal flower festivals (most notably the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo originally held in 2013) and ongoing horticultural-education programs. Best in spring through autumn for the strongest visual impact.
