Slow City Samjinae Village is a designated Cittaslow international Slow City village in Damyang, Jeollanam-do — one of Korea's official Slow City designations, joining a global network of small communities committed to preserving traditional cultural-and-culinary heritage and resisting the homogenizing pressures of fast modern life. The village preserves traditional Korean rural-village patterns with hanok architecture, agricultural fields, walking paths, and a strong food-culture tradition centered on Damyang's signature regional foods.
