Baemsagolgyegok Valley (뱀사골 계곡)
Baemsagolgyegok Valley is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Baemsagol Valley is one of the longest and most celebrated valleys of Jirisan National Park, cutting roughly 9.2 kilometers down the mountain's northern slope through deep beech and oak forest. The valley's lower section is a paved boardwalk and stone path that anyone can walk for the first 90 minutes, while the upper section requires real hiking. The water is famously clear and cold, polishing granite to mirror finishes in places, and the valley culminates at one of Korea's most photographed cool-water pools. Autumn foliage is the absolute peak. Plan a full day for the round trip. Pair with the Jirisan Noryukcheong skywalk or the Jeongnyeongchi pass road for a Jirisan corner.
