BEXCO

BEXCO is the major convention and exhibition center in Busan's Centum City, designed for international trade shows, conferences, and large-scale corporate events. Opened in 2001 with a total exhibition-and-conference floor area of over 92,000 square meters, the substantial complex hosts major Korean and international events year-round, with rotating exhibitions including the Busan International Film Festival's industry-side events, G-Star (Korea's flagship game industry expo), consumer-electronics shows, art and design fairs, and broader B2B trade shows. BEXCO also served as the primary venue for the 2005 APEC Summit and various major diplomatic and international events since. Public visits are typically limited to specific event days when tickets are sold to general visitors, but the surrounding Centum City — with the Shinsegae Department Store (the world's largest by floor area, Guinness-recognized), the Busan National Science Museum, the Busan Cinema Center (a distinctive Coop Himmelb(l)au-designed cantilever roof), and direct subway access via the Centum City Station (Line 2) — makes BEXCO a natural hub for southeastern Busan. Pair with broader Centum City attractions — a full afternoon walking loop covers Shinsegae, the Cinema Center, and BEXCO's outdoor plaza with an easy transit connection back to Haeundae Beach.
