Why go
Bidulginangpokpo Falls (Hantangang River Geopark) is a small but visually striking waterfall set in the Hantangang River Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark inscribed for the area's distinctive volcanic-basalt geology along the Hantangang River corridor. The waterfall plunges over a basalt-cliff face into a deep emerald plunge pool below, with the surrounding columnar-basalt cliffs framing the scene in the geometric vertical patterns that define the Hantangang Geopark's visual identity. The waterfall's name ("Pigeon Bridal Chamber") comes from a folk legend tied to the area. A short walking trail and viewing platforms let visitors approach the waterfall from above and from the side. Best in summer for the strongest water flow and cooler micro-climate. Pairs naturally with the broader Hantangang Geopark itinerary including the Jeongok Hantangang River Folk Museum.
