Why go

Buramsan Butterfly Garden is a small public butterfly garden at the foot of Buramsan in northeast Seoul's Nowon-gu, kept active in season with native Korean butterflies in netted greenhouse rooms and outdoor host-plant beds. The garden is paired with a hiking trail that climbs the lower slopes of Buramsan, making it a useful family-friendly stop combining nature education and a short forest walk. Free entry. Open mainly April through October when the butterflies are active. Closed Mondays. Reachable on Subway Line 7 (Madeul Station). Pair with Bulamsan trails for a half-day urban-nature combo, or extend toward the Sanggye-dong cafe district for an evening end to the day.
