Why go

Chuncheondaegyo is the long bridge that carries the road across Chuncheon's Uiamho Lake, in Gangwon's lake district. Photographers come for the sweeping curve over the water and the view back toward Chuncheon city framed by the surrounding mountains. The lake itself is the broader attraction — it's where Soyanggang and Bukhangang join and where Chuncheon's reputation as the "city of lakes" comes from — and the bridge is one of the easiest places to take it in. A walking path along the south bank gives an unobstructed angle for sunset shots. The area is best paired with Chuncheon Myeongdong's dakgalbi alley and a ferry ride on Soyanggang to round out a Chuncheon day.
