Deungeok Hot Springs is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Deungeok Hot Springs is a small spa town tucked into the Seoraksan foothills near the East Coast, supplied by a 50-degree alkaline-bicarbonate spring that emerges naturally from the granite. The water is gentle on skin, often described as silky, and the streetside bathhouses range from local-style public baths to mid-range spa hotels. Most travelers stop here on the way to or from Seoraksan as an evening soak after hiking. There are no major sights in town — the experience is the bath and a cold-noodle dinner — but as a wellness pause it's hard to beat. Best in autumn when the surrounding maples turn red. Pair with Sokcho Beach and Seoraksan National Park.
