Why go

Dochidol Alpaca Ranch is a working alpaca farm on Jeju that has opened to visitors for hands-on feeding and short walking experiences with the animals. About thirty alpacas live on the ranch in open paddocks, and timed sessions let small groups feed them, walk one through a designated path on a halter lead, and learn about the species' South American origins. The ranch is set against Jeju's distinctive volcanic landscape, which makes the photos look more like the Andes than the typical Jeju shoreline. Reservations are essential. Best in spring and autumn — the animals are heat-sensitive in summer. Pair with Hyeopjae Beach or the Halla Arboretum.
