Dogu Beach (도구 해수욕장)

Dogu Beach lies on the East Sea coast just south of Pohang, a long arc of fine sand framed by pine windbreak and the gentle ridges of the coastal range behind. It's a working local beach rather than a tourist showpiece — there's a small fishing pier at the south end, simple summer pension stays, and a row of seafood restaurants serving raw fish straight from the morning catch. The shallow water and gradual slope make it family-friendly, and the pine shade gives somewhere to retreat at midday. Quietest in early morning year-round. Pair with Pohang's Yeongildae Beach and the steel mill skyline drive for a full East Coast day.
