Dongho Beach (동호해수욕장)
Dongho Beach is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Dongho Beach lies on the southwestern coast of Buan in Jeollabuk-do, a long flat stretch of fine sand backed by a low pine windbreak. It's traditionally a quieter alternative to nearby Byeonsan Beach, with shallow water and a notable spring tidal flat that's good for clamming. The Dongho Mineral Spring just inland gives the beach part of its identity — the iron-rich water has been bottled and bathed in for over a century. In summer the beach campground fills up but rarely feels crowded compared to the East Coast hot spots. A pine forest path links the beach to the mineral spring, an easy thirty-minute walk. Pair with Naesosa Temple and Chaeseokgang cliffs.
