Tucked into the traditional hanok neighbourhood of Bukchon in central Seoul, Gahoe Museum specializes in minhwa — Korean folk paintings historically created by anonymous artisans for everyday households. The compact collection spans colorful depictions of tigers, magpies, peonies, and the ten longevity symbols, offering visitors a focused introduction to a genre often overlooked in larger national museums.
