Why go

Gangcheonsan County Park covers a granite-spire mountain in Sunchang, Jeollabuk-do, anchored by Korea's longest pedestrian suspension bridge — the 78-meter "Cloud Bridge" strung 50 meters above a forested ravine between two granite ridges. The park combines the suspension bridge crossing with a 5-kilometer perimeter trail through dramatic granite and pine scenery, the small monastery Gangcheonsa, and a ravine waterfall reachable in about thirty minutes. Park entry is ticketed. Best in autumn for the maple peak in late October and early November. The suspension bridge has a hard cap on simultaneous walkers — wait times in peak season can be 30+ minutes. Pair with the Sunchang Gochujang Folk Village.
