Gangneung Gyeongpo Beach is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung is the largest beach on Korea's mid-east coast, a 1.8-kilometer fine-white-sand crescent backed by a pine windbreak forest and the freshwater Gyeongpoho lake just inland. The dual coastline-and-lake geography makes this an unusually flexible day: families wade the calm sea, joggers and cyclists do the lake-loop trail, and the historic Gyeongpodae Pavilion above the lake gives a 360-degree overlook. The beach is the eastern anchor of Gangneung's broader tourist district, with seafood restaurants, the Gangneung Coffee Street nearby, and direct connections to Ojukheon. Best in summer for swimming, autumn for clean light. Pair with Ojukheon and the Coffee Street.
