Garden of Sky (Haneul-mulbit-jeongwon) in Yeongdong, Chungcheongbuk-do, is a private destination garden built around a hillside reflecting pool that mirrors the sky and the surrounding garden plants — the design conceit that gives the property its name. The grounds combine themed flower beds (focused on perennials and seasonal annuals — peonies, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, autumn asters), small tea houses, photo platforms positioned around the reflecting pool, and walking paths through native trees. The peak photographic effect lands on still mornings when the water surface is glass, doubling every flower and cloud — the garden's Instagram popularity comes specifically from this reflecting-pool photography that produces an almost surreal doubled composition. The design is genuinely original among Korean gardens, and the private-ownership scale (about 3 ha) keeps the visit intimate rather than mass-tourism. Modest admission (typically KRW 8,000-12,000).
