Gunsan Mallaengyi Village sits on a hillside in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, preserving the layered urban history of a port city that flourished during the Japanese colonial era. The village retains narrow alleyways, old low-rise homes, and hand-painted murals that trace the lives of residents who settled here over generations.
