Gwangju Chungjang-ro K-pop Star Street is a themed street in central Gwangju's Chungjang-ro shopping district, dedicated to celebrating Korean pop-music stars who have ties to the Gwangju and Jeollanam-do area. The street threads handprints and signature plates of K-pop figures with Gwangju roots, public sculptures with K-pop themes, and themed photo-zone installations along a section of one of Gwangju's main shopping-and-pedestrian streets. The street is most lively in the late afternoon and evening, when central Gwangju's shopping-district crowds peak.
