Gwonjeoreum Parasitic Cone

Gwonjeoreum is a parasitic volcanic cone (oreum) on Jeju Island, formed by the volcanic activity that built up Jeju Island itself. Like other Jeju oreum, Gwonjeoreum is a single small parasitic cinder cone with marked walking trails climbing to the summit area, where the view opens broadly across the surrounding Jeju landscape and surrounding oreum cluster. The hike is moderate in difficulty, and the surrounding mountain-and-grass landscape gives the cone its distinctive Jeju-volcanic-landscape character. Best in clear-weather windows for the strongest panoramic view, paired with broader Jeju oreum-hopping itineraries.
