Haeundae Green Railway (Mipo-Songjeong)

Haeundae Blueline Park (Haeundae Green Railway) in Busan is a public coastal walking-and-cycling park built on the former Donghae Nambu Line (East Sea Southern Line) railway corridor that once ran along the Haeundae coast. The railway was decommissioned in 2013 as the coastal line was rerouted inland, and the coastal corridor was converted into a linear park with substantial coastal infrastructure — an elevated coastal walking-and-cycling path, the distinctive Sky Capsule (a small 2-person open-air aerial-tram capsule that runs on the elevated rail line), the Haeundae Beach Train (a small open-air passenger train that runs along the ground-level corridor), and multiple viewing decks along the 4.8-km coastal route. The combination of the coastal walking path, the aerial Sky Capsule (particularly popular for sunset rides), and the ground-level Beach Train has made the Blueline Park one of Busan's most-cited contemporary tourism destinations since its 2020 opening. Walking access free; Sky Capsule and Beach Train ticketed separately (Sky Capsule typically KRW 30,000-55,000 for 2-person capsule, Beach Train KRW 7,000-15,000). Best at sunset for the coastal light. Allow at least 2 hours. Access: 5-minute walk from Mipo Station on the Donghae Line or from Haeundae Beach.
