Why go

Yeongdo Sky Observatory crowns the eastern flank of Bongnaesan on Yeongdo island in Busan, with sweeping panoramic views back toward the Busan port skyline, North Port, and the long arc of the Hae-an Pass mountains south. The deck is unusually open — broad, multi-tiered, with a glass-floor section at the edge that drops the eye straight to the cliff and harbor below. A small cafe operates inside the observation building, and a quiet park-style garden surrounds the access road. Free entry. Reachable by car or by a 20-minute hike from the lower bus stop. Best at sunset and in the hour after, when the harbor lights begin to come on. Pair with Taejongdae and Huinnyeoul Culture Village.
