Why go

Jeongeup Herb One is a hillside herb garden in northern Jeollabuk-do, planted with hundreds of medicinal and aromatic herb species and laid out across a long ridge with views back toward the surrounding farmland. It's one of the larger dedicated herb gardens in Korea, and the high-summer lavender stretch in particular draws photographers from across the country. Beyond peak lavender season, themed beds — lemon balm, chamomile, mint, rosemary — extend the visit into a slower aromatic walk. A small cafe serves herb tea and herb-infused desserts. Allow ninety minutes. Lavender peaks late June into early July. Pair with Naejangsan National Park for a full Jeongeup day.
