Gangwon
Hongcheon Palbongsan Mountain) is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Hongcheon Palbongsan is a 327-meter mountain in Gangwon's Hongcheon, ringed on three sides by the Hongcheon-gang river and famous for its sequence of eight rocky peaks that line up along a single sharp ridge. The summit ridge trail traverses all eight peaks with chains and short ladders bolted to the rocks, taking about three hours and rewarding hikers with one of the most cinematic ridge-walks in Gangwon. The river circling the mountain is also a popular summer rafting course, so a hike-plus-raft full-day combo is the standard plan. Best in mid-spring through early autumn for safe ridge conditions. Pair with the rafting company at the foot of the mountain.
