Incheon Urban History Museum in Incheon's Yeonsu-gu is a public institutional museum on the urban development of Incheon from the pre-modern coastal settlement through the treaty-port opening in 1883, colonial-era transformation, post-liberation Korean War displacement, and modern Songdo/free-economic-zone development. The museum walks visitors through Incheon's evolution as the primary international gateway to Seoul — first as a Joseon-era fishing settlement, then as the treaty port that connected Korea to global trade, then as Korea's most-cited modern-industry city, and now as home to Incheon International Airport and the Songdo International Business District.
