Jeju Folk Village

Jeju Folk Village is a major open-air folk-village museum on Jeju Island, set up as a comprehensive recreation of pre-modern Jeju village life in a large outdoor park setting. The site preserves and recreates traditional Jeju folk-architecture and village patterns — black-stone-walled fishing villages, mountain-foot farming villages, the harubang stone grandfather statues, traditional Jeju thatched houses, mill buildings, and the broader Jeju folk-cultural infrastructure. The site has been a frequent filming location for major Korean historical TV dramas (including Dae Jang Geum / Jewel in the Palace), which has made it widely visible to Korean drama viewers. Programming includes traditional craft demonstrations, folk-performance shows, and seasonal events. Best given a half-day, paired with broader Jeju east-coast itineraries that already include Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise peak.
