Korea History and Culture Park (한민족역사문화공원)
Korea History and Culture Park is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Hanminjok History and Culture Park is a sprawling sculpture park outside Cheonan that lays out Korean history in chronological zones, from prehistory through the modern republic. Bronze monumental statues of historical figures — Dangun, King Sejong, Yi Sunsin, independence activists — anchor each zone, set among landscaped lawns and reflective pools. It is unapologetically didactic but works well for school groups and travelers wanting a broad orientation in one walk. The full loop covers about two kilometers and takes ninety minutes. English signage exists but is uneven. Pair with the Cheonan Independence Hall a short drive away for a fuller national-history day, since the two complement each other in tone and depth.
