Korean National Police Heritage Museum

Korean National Police Heritage Museum in central Seoul is the dedicated public museum on the history of Korean policing, covering everything from late-Joseon constabulary forces through the colonial-era Japanese police, post-liberation South Korean policing, and modern Korean law enforcement. The collection includes original uniforms, period weapons, communication equipment, and substantial documentation on the police role across major Korean historical events — colonial-era resistance suppression, Korean War civil order, the April Revolution of 1960, the 1980 Gwangju Uprising, and modern democratization.
