Why go
Yeongcheon Bohyeonsan Astronomical Science Center is a public astronomy and space-science education facility in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, set on the slopes of Bohyeonsan as one of Korea's premier astronomical-observation sites. The site combines public astronomy education with research-grade observatory facilities — Bohyeonsan is also home to the Bohyeonsan Optical Astronomy Observatory, one of Korea's major professional astronomical research stations, which supports the Center's astronomy programming. The center includes a planetarium with scheduled projection shows, public observation decks with telescopes (including evening stargazing sessions on clear nights), hands-on space-science exhibits, and a small lecture room for public talks. Bohyeonsan's mountain location and dark sky give it noticeably better night-sky observation than urban observatories. Best on clear evenings.
