의성김씨 학봉종택

Uiseong Kim Family Hakbong Head House (Hakbong Jongtaek) is a preserved Joseon-era yangban head-family residence — a jongtaek, the ancestral seat of the Uiseong Kim clan dedicated to honoring Kim Seong-il (pen name Hakbong, 1538-1593), one of the central Joseon-era Confucian scholar-officials and a meritorious subject who played key roles in Joseon court politics during a critical period leading up to and through the Imjin War. The compound includes the typical Joseon yangban arrangement of sarangchae (men's quarters), anchae (women's inner quarters), gobi (servant's quarters), and an ancestral shrine, with traditional courtyards arranged according to Korean residential principles. The house remains tied to the Uiseong Kim founding clan and several rooms function as exhibits of family genealogy, period furnishings, and historic documents.
