구 나주역

Old Naju Station is a preserved former railway station building in Naju, Jeollanam-do, dating from the early 20th century when it served as the main railway station for Naju during the colonial-era development of Korea's southern rail network. The station building is preserved as a registered modern cultural property, with the original colonial-era brick-and-stone architecture intact, and the broader station complex preserved as a heritage site that documents the colonial-era expansion of Korean rail infrastructure. The site is also historically significant as the location where the Gwangju Student Independence Movement of November 1929 began — student conflicts at the Naju Station were one of the immediate triggers for the broader student-led protest that swept across Korea.
