Why go

Yangpyeong Imsil Cheese Village is an experiential cheese-themed agricultural village in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, designed as a hands-on cheese-making experience destination accessible from Seoul. The village runs short cheese-making workshops covering fresh-cheese preparation, mozzarella stretching, and basic aged-cheese starter, plus a small museum on Korean cheese-making history (Imsil-area dairy farms, originally established by Belgian Catholic missionaries in the 1960s, are credited with creating Korea's first commercial domestic cheese tradition). The village also operates a farm-to-table restaurant. Reservations recommended on weekends. About 2 hours. Pair with Yangpyeong's broader Two Rivers' confluence (Dumulmeori) area.
