Why go

Mubongsan is a small mountain in central Gyeonggi-do, rising to roughly 215 meters as a low ridge that anchors a public hiking-and-recreation trail network for the surrounding planned-city neighborhoods. The mountain is too low to count as a national-park destination but well-suited as a half-day local hike: marked trails climb to the summit ridge in roughly 60 minutes from the main parking area, with several spur trails branching to viewpoint platforms and shortcut routes back down. The summit ridge gives a wide view back over the surrounding city corridor and the broader Gyeonggi-plain horizon. Spring brings cherry blossoms along the lower trail and azaleas on the slopes, summer dense canopy shade, autumn maple and oak color, and winter quiet. Best for residents and short-term travelers staying in the area who want a quick mountain morning.
