Why go
Hadeok Village is a small rural community in southwestern Korea designated as a green-tourism farm village, with about 30 households still maintaining a working-agriculture rhythm largely unchanged for decades. The village runs short experiential programs centered on traditional farming practices — rice planting, kimchi making, persimmon harvesting in season — and renovated farmhouse rooms are available for overnight stays. Most programs need advance booking through the village office. The pace is deliberately slow, the meals are home-cooked from village produce, and the surrounding scenery — terraced rice paddies, low rolling hills, persimmon trees — is the main draw. Best in late summer harvest or autumn persimmon season. Pair with regional countryside driving or another local detour.
