보령머드축제

The Boryeong Mud Festival takes place each summer along Daecheon Beach in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province. It centers on the region's naturally mineral-rich mud, which is hauled from local tidal flats and used in a sprawling outdoor playground of mud pools, slides, and obstacle courses set up along the shoreline. The festival draws both domestic and international visitors, making it one of Korea's most internationally recognized summer events. Activities range from mud wrestling and mud skiing to body painting. The beach itself stretches several kilometers, offering space beyond the festival grounds for quieter swimming and relaxation.
