목포항구축제

Mokpo Port Festival uses the working harbour of Mokpo — historically Korea's gateway to the south-western islands and a major colonial-era port — as a stage for a maritime-themed weekend. The festival activates the old Japanese-era waterfront warehouses, the cruise terminal, and the new ocean-front plaza with boat parades, lighthouse light shows, harbour-side seafood markets, fireworks, and live music. Programs lean strongly into Mokpo's identity as a southwestern coastal cultural hub, mixing Jeolla folk performance with contemporary stages. For visitors heading toward Heuksando, Hongdo, or the Dadohaehaesang National Park island circuits, the festival is the strongest single window to start that journey from a city already in celebration mode.
