Muchangpo Beach (무창포해수욕장)
Muchangpo Beach is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Muchangpo Beach lies on Korea's west coast in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do, and is most famous for its annual "Moses miracle" — a periodic 1.5-kilometer tidal land bridge to the offshore Seokdaedo islet that opens for two hours during the strongest spring tides several times a year. Outside those tide events the beach is a quietly elegant West Sea destination with a long fine-sand crescent, gentle waves, and a row of pine groves behind. The Muchangpo Mystic Sea Road Festival times to one of the largest tide events each year. The water is too cold for swimming most of the year — visitors come for the tide, the scenery, and the seafood. Pair with Boryeong Mud Festival in July.
