Mungyeongsaejae Open Set (문경새재 오픈세트장)

Mungyeongsaejae Open Set is a large permanent outdoor film set in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, set near the Mungyeong Saejae historic mountain pass. The set was originally built by KBS and other Korean broadcasters as a working production location for Korean historical (sageuk) drama series, and many major Korean historical TV dramas have been filmed at the site. The set reproduces a Joseon-era town environment in detailed period style — wooden palace gates, a market street, traditional Korean houses, palace courtyards, government office buildings — and is open to the public when not in active filming use.
