Why go

Naksan Park is a hilltop public park in central Seoul on the slope of Naksan, one of the four inner mountains that traditionally surrounded the Joseon-era capital. The park preserves a long stretch of the Joseon-era Seoul Fortress Wall (Hanyangdoseong) that runs along the ridge — visitors can walk inside or beside the wall along the ridge for a continuous sequence of city-skyline viewpoints back across central Seoul. The hill rises to about 125 meters above sea level, with a pavilion at the summit and a small set of city-history interpretive panels. Below the wall, the slopes drop into the Ihwa Mural Village neighborhood. The walk pairs naturally with Ihwa Mural Village, Daehangno, and the broader Seoul Fortress Wall walking circuit. Best at sunset for the central-Seoul skyline view.
