Why go

Nanji Hangang Park stretches along the north bank of the Han River in northwestern Seoul, on land reclaimed from the city's former Nanjido landfill. Today it is one of the greener, more open Hangang parks — wide flower fields in spring, wetland boardwalks, a major campsite that books out fast on summer weekends, and connection to the larger Worldcup Park to the north. Cycling here is excellent: the riverside path runs all the way east to Banpo and west to the city limits without a single traffic light. Sunset over the river is the highlight, with the Sky Park silhouette framing the view. Best on weekday evenings to avoid weekend traffic.
