Why go
Ongmasan is a 538-meter mountain on the eastern edge of Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do, distinguished as the home of one of Korea's longest mountain zip-line attractions and an active paragliding launch site. The summit is reached by a winding road that ends at a cleared launch pad with sweeping views of the West Sea coast — on a clear day, all the way out to the major offshore islands of the Boryeong archipelago. The zip-line strings hikers and tourists from the summit down 1.5 kilometers to a lower base in a single 90-second run, the longest such ride on the West Coast. Helmet-and-harness equipment provided. Best on calm spring or autumn afternoons. Pair with Daecheon Beach.
