Why go

Palbok Art Factory was founded in an old cassette tape factory twenty-five years after it went out of business with the advent of the CD. The factory aims to spread art and artistic creativity to the world, much like the previous cassette tape company did at their peak in the '80s. Official location: 46 Guretdeul 1-gil, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk-do. Visiting hours: [Palbok Art Factory] Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-17:30 / [Cafe] Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-19:00. Closure information: Mondays, the day Seollal (Lunar New Year's Day) & Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day). Parking: Available. Information contact: +82-63-211-0288. The official Palbok Art Factory site lists a broader program than gallery viewing alone: a creative-arts school, resident-artist studios, scheduled exhibitions, bookable arts-play sessions for different age groups, an Ipop Tree picture-book library, guided group visits, and venue rental. Check the current calendar because exhibitions and education sessions rotate independently.
