Saemangeum (새만금)

Saemangeum is one of the world's largest land reclamation projects, located on the western coast of North Jeolla Province in South Korea. A massive seawall stretches across the Yellow Sea, enclosing a vast area of reclaimed land currently being developed into an international economic zone, tourism hub, and ecological park. Visitors can walk or cycle along portions of the seawall, taking in sweeping views of the Yellow Sea and the flat, open landscape. The site also serves as an emerging venue for large-scale international events, drawing attention as a new kind of destination on Korea's west coast.
