Why go

Seodaejeon Park is a large urban park in western Daejeon, used by the city as both a daily exercise venue and a major event ground. Its centerpiece is a long man-made canal-style water feature that runs through the park and lights up at night, alongside walking paths, a sports field, and a popular cherry-blossom avenue that turns the entire park pink in early April. The park hosts the city's annual Bread Festival and seasonal flower events, and it sits within walking distance of Seodaejeon Station. It's a useful slow stop in a Daejeon itinerary rather than a destination in its own right. Pair with Daejeon's Hanbat Arboretum or downtown Eunhaeng-dong cafe district.
