Why go

Seolbong Oncheon Land in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, is a large public hot-spring (oncheon) complex set at the base of Seolbong Mountain, one of Gyeonggi Province's most-cited hot-spring destinations for day-trip visitors from Seoul. The complex combines multiple gender-segregated indoor baths (fresh oncheon water with dissolved bicarbonate and mineral content, drawn from a working well on site), themed pools (herbal, mugwort, jade-stone), an outdoor bade-pool section, a jjimjilbang (Korean spa lounge with heated stone rooms), and a supporting restaurant-and-rest complex. Icheon has been Korea's traditional ceramics-production center for centuries and hosts the biennial Icheon Ceramics Festival, so most visitors combine the oncheon visit with the surrounding Icheon Ceramics Village and the Seolbong Park cultural cluster (including the Icheon World Ceramic Center — a major public ceramics museum). Standard oncheon admission typically runs KRW 10,000-15,000 for day-use; jjimjilbang add-on usually adds KRW 3,000-5,000. Allow 3-4 hours for a leisurely oncheon + jjimjilbang combination. Access: about 1 hour from Seoul by car, or via Icheon KTX Station (30 minutes from Suseo Station). Best paired with the Icheon Ceramics Village for a full Icheon cultural-and-oncheon day, or with the Seolbong Park + Icheon World Ceramic Center cluster.
