Why go

Starfield Library at COEX Mall in Seoul is a 2,800-square-meter indoor public library and reading space, opened in 2017 as part of the COEX Mall renovation and immediately becoming one of Seoul's most photographed contemporary architectural spaces. The library combines towering 13-meter floor-to-ceiling bookshelves (about 50,000 books), comfortable open seating areas, three-story atrium daylighting, and a free magazine and newspaper reading area. The library is genuinely a working public library where visitors can sit and read, not a closed display, and the substantial daily foot traffic gives the space a remarkable "reading-in-the-mall" energy. Free, open daily until 22:00. Pair with the surrounding COEX mall.
