Suamgol Café Street(수암골 카페거리)

Suamgol Café Street is the slow-walking café and shop strip running through Suamgol, an old hillside neighborhood in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, that was preserved largely intact through Cheongju's mid-20th-century redevelopment because of its steep terrain. The neighborhood was made widely visible to Korean visitors by appearing as a backdrop in several Korean television dramas, and the resulting interest helped seed the current pattern of independent cafés, mural lanes, vintage stores, and small studios threading between the still-occupied old hillside houses. The street climbs the slope past viewpoints back across central Cheongju, and the late-afternoon-into-sunset window is the strongest visual hour. Pairs naturally with Cheongju Jungang Park and the Munhwa Jejochang culture complex on a half-day Cheongju walking itinerary.
