Susan Harbor (수산항)

Susan Harbor is a small fishing port on the eastern coast of Gangwon, set on the East Sea coast in the Gangneung-area corridor. The port works year-round as the home base for a small Gangwon fishing fleet, with a wholesale-and-retail seafood market that runs through the day. Around the port edge, casual seafood restaurants serve the day's catch in raw, grilled, and stewed forms, with the freshness of the morning's haul determining the day's menu. The port is one of several smaller working harbors along the Gangneung coast that offer a less-touristy alternative to the larger Anmok Beach or Gyeongpo Lake stops, with a quieter, more local atmosphere. Pairs naturally with Anmok Coffee Street, Gyeongpo Lake, and broader eastern-Gangwon coastal day-trip itineraries.
