Why go

Ulsan Grand Park is the largest urban park in southeastern Korea, covering 3.6 square kilometers — built largely on land donated by the SK conglomerate to the city in the late 1990s. The park combines a central rose garden of around 30,000 plants, a small zoo, two artificial lakes, dense walking forests, a Korean garden, and a cherry-blossom tunnel road that turns spectacular each April. The Spring Rose Festival in late May is the headline event. The scale rivals or exceeds Seoul's Olympic Park, and Ulsan residents use it heavily for daily life. Free entry (zoo separate). Allow three hours for a full loop. Pair with Ulsan's Daewangam Park on the coast.
